Verve,
vitality, visual appeal and voluptuous use of media are a few other things to
be seen in the work of international painters, Victor Pasmore, Conrad
Marca-Relli and Piero Dorazio.
It took
Director Daniel Butts more than a year to arrange the 37-piece exhibit with
Marlborough Galleries of New York, London and Rome, through a series of phone
calls and letters enclosing the center’s floor plan so that selections could be
made.
The most
eye-catching work is Dorazio’s, which has been hung in the first gallery – bursting
with his space-stripes in gaudy colors.
These
paintings, while they are the brashest offerings, have the added virtue of
making you want to see more, and more.
Marca-Relli occupies the next
gallery and Pasmore, the rear room.
