d’O to appeal to insiders without sexual prejudice. The club will recreate the atmosphere of the
best-selling underground novel, “The Story of O”
– an atmosphere wherein the heroine was abject and submissive to her
sadist-lover, who whipped her and made her wear a chain. Surrealist painter Leonor Fini, who illustrated the shocking book’s
deluxe edition and is rumored to be the model for the story, will bless the
opening with her presence.
